Our commitment to pro bono work that helps advance Black communities globally

In 2020, McKinsey launched Action 9, our commitment of $200 million in pro bono work by 2030 to organizations that are growing opportunity among Black communities globally. As of December 2024, we have invested $86 million, worked with 45 partner organizations, and engaged more than 500 colleagues across 60 global offices.

Action 9 is a significant step in our ongoing journey to foster sustainable and inclusive growth and represents an important part of our overall $2 billion commitment to global social responsibility by 2030. We believe that when organizations thrive, economies prosper and people progress. Supporting organizations that grow economic opportunity for Black communities globally helps us realize this vision.
