Sebastian is a partner in McKinsey’s M&A Practice in the New Jersey office. He advises global companies on complex integrations and buy-side carve-outs, with expertise across all aspects of successful integrations—master planning, value capture, organizational design, talent selection, and culture. He works across the full deal lifecycle—from pre-close planning and Day 1 readiness through post-close transformation—to help leadership teams deliver sustainable performance outcomes.
Sebastian has supported transactions across the Americas, Europe, and Asia across industries such as agriculture, materials, consumer goods, semiconductors, telecommunications, and health insurance. He brings deep expertise in establishing integration governance, helping executives focus on the most critical aspects of integrations, and ensuring acceleration of value creation beyond the transaction.
Examples of his recent client work include:
- advising regional and global agriculture players on M&A strategy and execution with a focus on ensuring an accelerated path to value creation
- supporting consumer goods organizations through the integration process, including culture diagnostic and change programs, and launching permanent transformation offices to sustain impact
- supporting global semiconductor and technology players across multiple acquisitions, including buy-side carve-outs with a focus on enabling a refresh to core company processes and the path toward ambitious revenue synergy aspirations
- leading cross-border telecommunications integrations and buy-side carve-outs with a focus on transition and integration planning as well as value creation acceleration
Sebastian received an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, an MA from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and an MA from Paris III – Sorbonne Nouvelle.
