Our global communications colleagues build the firm’s reputation, engage communities, demonstrate the impact we have for clients and in the world, and inform and connect our colleagues to each other and the firm. The function is comprised of several groups, each creating and disseminating distinctive content and engaging internal and external communities through a range of communications channels.

External Communications

Our external communications team translates complex subject matter into clear, engaging content for a variety of audiences including clients, communities, colleagues, potential candidates, alumni and the media. These Communications colleagues work with firm and practice leaders to share insights about McKinsey, our research findings, our impact globally and in communities as well as how McKinsey’s mission and purpose comes to life.

Internal Communications

The internal communications team ensures our more than 30,000 colleagues stay informed about all parts of our firm including our pro bono and social impact work, our insights in 20+ industry sectors, news from our affinity networks, information about firm policies and news, and communications from our Global Managing Partner. Our work encourages collaboration and connections among firm members and celebrates our values, our work, and our people.

Client Communications

Our client communications professionals work alongside our consulting teams to help our work resonate with clients and inspire real change. The team provides expert support, tools, and training to clients and teams around the world to help communicate our recommendations, analysis and insights in ways that are clear and compelling, in the boardroom and across the client organization.
