Tiago is a Senior Fellow at the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), the business and economics research arm of McKinsey.
His research focuses on the intersection of geopolitics with global flows of trade and capital, and how they collectively influence our energy system.
Tiago is a frequent speaker on these topics at leading global conferences and industry events. His work is widely cited in the media, and he contributes articles and opinion pieces to major outlets including The Financial Times, Foreign Policy, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and Harvard Business Review.
Before joining MGI, Tiago spent over a decade as a McKinsey consultant, advising companies and governments across three continents. During his career he has been based in the Lisbon, Luanda, and Sydney offices.
