Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is embedded in our history and daily practice. We have long sought to advance and promote diversity in our own firm, and to foster an inclusive culture where every colleague feels a deep sense of respect and belonging. We also strive to do the same in our clients’ organizations and in society more broadly.
Diversity & Inclusion at McKinsey

In June 2020, we committed to a list of 10 actions to deliver change within our firm and to play our part in advancing equality across the world, and we provided a progress update in the summer of 2025.
Through our culture, policies, and systems we strive to create an exceptional global environment for all colleagues. Our affinity networks foster community, mentorship, and professional development for women, members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies, parents of special-needs children, veterans, colleagues with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and mental health challenges, and members of Asian at McKinsey, the McKinsey Black Network, and the Hispanic and Latino Network. All of our affinity networks are open to all employees, regardless of background or self-identity.
We invite you to learn more: explore our Diversity and Inclusion website and follow our Instagram and Real Life at McKinsey Facebook page for more stories about our colleagues’ lives.
As you progress in our recruiting process, we encourage you to seek out personal stories from colleagues who have benefited from our welcoming, supportive environment. These conversations will hopefully help you realize McKinsey could be a great fit for you.
