Tracy Francis is a senior partner with McKinsey who advises clients and serves as McKinsey’s global chief marketing officer (CMO), and leads the firm’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.
As CMO, Tracy oversees global marketing, communications, publishing, and reputation at McKinsey, and is responsible for thought leadership, as well as strategy to reach, engage, and communicate with clients and stakeholders globally. As an ESG leader, Tracy brings together the firm’s client service, insights, actions, and charitable giving to accelerate sustainable and inclusive growth.
As a client service professional, Tracy has over two decades of business leadership experience across consumer, retail and healthcare industries. She helps leading companies take a holistic view of shifts in market dynamics to find new sources of growth, scale digital transformations, and accelerate performance.
A frequent public speaker at global events, including the World Economic Forum’s Annual meeting and B20, she uses her voice to advance discussions on topics vital to the health of businesses, societies, and people. Tracy has coauthored authoritative and industry-shaping research on what it will take to accelerate sustainable and inclusive growth, how consumer-packaged goods and retail companies can navigate economic volatility, and the implications of Gen Z on the Latin American consumer market.
Tracy previously led the Consumer Goods Practice in Latin America, and prior to that, founded and led the Healthcare Practice in Latin America. She serves a wide variety of companies and institutions including retailers, consumer-goods manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, and national health systems. Tracy is also the chair of the Maria Cecilia Souto Vidigal Foundation, which focuses on early childhood development.
A native Australian and mother of three, Tracy first joined McKinsey in 1997 before moving to São Paulo. She is fluent in English and Portuguese.
