McKinsey offers you a unique opportunity to help our clients in some of their most critical decisions

Why McKinsey?

I studied industrial engineering, but after doing a summer internship working as an engineer it became clear that I was more attracted to business. At McKinsey, I work with companies to help them make some of their most critical decisions. Doing this with a team of smart, fun people is what makes McKinsey a unique organization.

Continuous learning

One of the main factors that keep me motivated at the firm is the opportunity to take on day-to-day challenges, tackling different issues in different industries. From the very first day the whole team contributes to the solution and the impact, from the most junior business analyst to the most senior partner. Here, people learn how to work more effectively in a team, structure complex problems and communicate with clients. Moreover, the culture of feedback and mentorship is key to ensuring people’s development.

Work that matters

In my first project, my team defined a 4-year strategic plan in retail banking for the subsidiary of an international bank in Spain, supporting the CEO in the definition and assessment of strategic options for the future. Then I participated in a project where we analyzed the Spanish gas market for large consumers, to support a client in a pricing arbitration and to identify potential levers for gaining market share. These are just two examples of projects I have worked on at McKinsey. I also participated in projects in banking, energy, telecom, media, retail and consumer goods, not only in Europe but also in Latin America. In short, working at McKinsey offers a wide range of opportunities across industries and geographies.

One firm

A vast amount of knowledge, resources and expertise across functions and industries is available real time in our network. You can simply access the intranet to find information about a new project you are starting, or pick up the phone and call a colleague or an expert anywhere in the world to discuss it. What really impressed me when I joined the Firm is that you can be working in a team with people from other countries, but everybody does everything the same way and with the same quality.
