Who is eligible?
Successful applicants will have strong academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and proven leadership ability. We are looking for students who are accomplished and well-rounded with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
To apply for the Diversity Connect event, you are:
- a candidate who identifies as African American, Black, Hispanic, Latino, or Native American
- a student in a US-based program who resides in the United States at the time of the event
- set to receive your PhD, post-doctorate degree, MD, or JD degree by 2023
Graduate programs include:
- medical students, interns, residents, and fellows who plan to complete their program in 2023
- PhD and post-doctorate students who plan to complete their program in 2023
- master’s students who previously obtained an MD and plan to complete their master's degree in 2023
Eligible candidates may apply to both the Diversity Connect and Insight events. If selected, you may only attend one program. You will be asked to specify which program you are most interested in attending in this application.
If you do not identify as African American, Black, Hispanic, Latino, or Native American, but you meet the other eligibility criteria for this event and are from a STEM or healthcare background, we invite you to apply to our Insight program.
