Mukund is a trusted and experienced adviser to CEOs and management teams, with a focus on enterprise-wide transformations in capital-intensive and asset-heavy industries, spanning business growth and portfolio optimization, organization and operating-model shifts, and technology enablement of operations. Specifically, he focuses on unlocking value at the intersection of technology and domain expertise, collaborating closely with Quantum Black, McKinsey’s AI unit.
As the leader of McKinsey’s Travel, Logistics & Infrastructure Practice and Real Estate sector in Asia, Mukund works closely with players across the built environment and industrials ecosystem. His deep sector expertise spans aviation, hospitality, energy and utilities, infrastructure, logistics, construction, offshore and maritime, where he collaborates with investors, operators, asset managers, service providers, and technology players shaping the future of these industries.
Functionally, he is an expert practitioner on the capital projects value chain, including design and engineering, procurement and contracting, and the transformation of project delivery using technology and AI. Mukund publishes regularly on the impact of technology on the built environment and capital-intensive industries. He was previously recognized as a Young Leader at the World Cities Summit.
Beyond his client service focus, Mukund cofounded and co-leads the firm’s flagship CEO offering, the McKinsey Center for CEO Excellence, which helps CEOs and CXOs optimize their professional and personal growth and effectiveness.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Mukund worked in the capital project development and manufacturing functions of industrial companies in Germany and India.
