About Raymond

Ray is a leader of our Life Sciences and Private Equity & Principal Investor Practices and advises global and domestic pharmaceutical and medical-device companies. He focuses primarily on growth-related topics, including marketing and sales strategy, growth strategy, and product-portfolio optimization. Leveraging his pharmaceutical and corporate-finance knowledge, Ray also helps many private-equity firms and principal investors to identify and evaluate potential life-science assets for mid- to long-term investments, especially cross-border deals.

His recent engagements in the pharmaceutical and medical-device industries include helping a top global pharma company transform its Japan business, substantially accelerating its growth trajectory while building a platform for sustainable growth. In addition, he has helped multiple global pharma companies develop and implement market-entry and growth strategies in Japan and the rest of Asia.

Ray’s recent engagements in the private-equity and principal-investors industry include helping a top trading house in Japan to assess a series of overseas investment opportunities in the healthcare space. In addition, he has helped multiple big global large-cap private-equity funds assess investment opportunities in the global healthcare industry.

Ray has accumulated broad and deep knowledge of the global healthcare industry, where he worked for nine years in the United States and Asia before joining McKinsey. Together with his multicultural background, this experience makes Ray an effective, integrative counselor to CEOs and senior executives in the healthcare industry across the globe.
