Collaborates with industrial leaders and private equity clients to shape their value-creation strategies and enhance their operational competitiveness. Helps clients navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by the electrification of industrial value chains

Luigi is a partner in McKinsey’s Geneva office who serves industrial and electronics, automotive, and private equity clients in shaping value-creation strategies and strengthening operational competitiveness. He is the leader and cofounder of the McKinsey Platform for Industrial Electrification, supporting industrial clients in developing and implementing their electrification roadmaps and enhancing supply-chain resilience to enable a secure and effective net-zero transition. In addition, Luigi coleads McKinsey’s machinery and industrial automation client segment in Europe.

Representative examples of Luigi’s recent work include:

  • driving holistic value-creation transformations for leading Swiss and European machinery and electrical/power equipment companies (e.g., pumps, compressors, valves, food-processing systems, heating equipment)
  • designing and implementing a supply-chain and inventory-excellence program for a Swiss semiconductor-equipment manufacturer
  • developing multiyear growth strategies—including strategic M&A—for global electrical OEMs across cables, power, distribution, transmission, and building-equipment segments
  • leading supply-chain and procurement programs for global engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) players
  • steering multiyear programs focused on operational excellence, commercial excellence, strategy, and M&A for leading off-highway (construction and agriculture) and commercial-vehicle OEMs
