Mike is a partner in McKinsey's New York office who leads large-scale manufacturing and operational transformations for industrial companies. He partners with manufacturing leaders to solve their most critical operations challenges and achieve sustainable performance improvements. Mike has developed and scaled a distinctive approach that enables manufacturers to unlock their full potential through lasting operational excellence.

Mike advises leading industrial companies with extensive experience across automotive, aerospace and defense, and broader industrial sectors, and specializes in capacity expansion, operational transformation, and strategic investment optimization.

His work helps clients rapidly scale production, increase throughput, improve productivity, and deliver world-class operational and financial performance across complex manufacturing networks.

  • transforming a tier-one automotive supplier to capture over $800 million in EBITDA improvement by scaling advanced manufacturing techniques and optimizing production operations to increase throughput across more than 50 global manufacturing sites
  • leading a rocket manufacturing transformation for an aerospace client, tripling production output to meet surging demand while reducing capital spending by $15 million and accelerating build schedules by 10 percent
  • conducting an end-to-end operational diagnostic across a distributed US manufacturing network for a leading engine OEM, uncovering opportunities to increase production rates by 60 percent and avoid $3.5 million (20 percent) in capital spend
  • directing a growth transformation for a leading defense electronics and communications OEM, uncovering over $50 million in run-rate value and generating approximately 10 percent onetime EBIT improvement on an approximate $100 million profit base
  • enabling profitable production scale-up for an industrial manufacturer by leading a frontline operations transformation that delivered 35 percent run-rate savings and improved workforce productivity.

Prior to McKinsey, Mike served in the U.S. Army as a Special Forces officer. During his military service, he led high-performing teams in demanding operational environments and commanded an elite military freefall unit.
