About Johanne

Johanne is a partner and senior leader in McKinsey Leadership Development and the Organization Practice, with expertise in human capital. She has served clients in a range of industries for more than 20 years. Johanne spent the first half of her McKinsey career focusing on operational transformations in the manufacturing and service operations industries. In 2001, she shifted her focus to complex, people-intensive, large-scale transformations across industry sectors. She has extensive expertise in cultural change, leadership development, group/team and organizational effectiveness, and executive coaching. She is also the global dean of the Centered Leadership Program, McKinsey’s flagship leadership-intensive program for senior client executives and McKinsey partners. She co-authored Centered Leadership: Leading with Purpose, Clarity, and Impact, published in 2014.

Johanne serves as an adviser to Fortune 100 companies, working with senior-executive teams and coaching leaders seeking transformational change. She speaks regularly at conferences on leadership and acts as an Advisory Board member of The Banff Centre, the world’s largest art and creativity incubator for developing leaders.

She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an electrical engineering degree from McGill University, and certifications as a coach and facilitator.
