Christian leads McKinsey’s European insurance work on strategy, corporate finance, and M&A, including private capital. He advises insurance CEOs, boards, and C-suite executives, together with the investors active in the sector, at moments of strategic and transformational change—helping them set strategy, shape portfolio and M&A choices, and carry those choices through to transformation delivery and lasting value creation.
Christian has conducted multiple large-scale, multiyear transformations for leading insurers and wealth managers, combining strategic direction with AI-enabled productivity programs that drive substantial and lasting performance improvement. He advises insurers on their strategy, M&A, and portfolio agendas and translates them into compelling equity stories and capital markets narratives. He also supports private capital investors across the insurance value chain, from due diligence through value creation and portfolio work, and helps clients build new digital business models and platforms. Increasingly, his work centers on how AI is reshaping the insurance value chain for both insurers and investors.
Christian has co-authored multiple McKinsey articles on insurance strategy, M&A, and the pressing topics shaping the industry. Before joining McKinsey, Christian held strategy and business development roles in the insurtech sector.
