Alexander leads McKinsey Analytics globally, the firm’s practice of 5,000 technologists and consultants who drive our artificial intelligence and advanced analytics work. He serves leading institutions predominantly in retail, consumer goods, telecommunications, high-tech, and venture capital industries. He focuses on growth strategy, performance improvement, and introduction of new business models by harnessing the power of analytics and technology.
Previously, Alexander led McKinsey Digital in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as the Commonwealth of Independent States region. In this role, he led digital transformations through artificial intelligence, core technology modernization, and new business building. Prior to that, he led the firm's Marketing & Sales Practice in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, as well as in the Commonwealth of Independent States region. Alexander has been a core leader of our consumer work for many years, helping leading retailers and consumer-facing companies capture opportunities afforded by new technologies, rethink commercial models, and improve operational performance.
Alexander is a recognized thought leader on topics of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, publishing articles in leading business publications and speaking frequently at global conferences. He is a co-author of the book Digital @ Scale: The Playbook You Need to Transform Your Company. Alexander serves on McKinsey's Technology Council, which gathers top global technology leaders and McKinsey experts to assess and to track trends in business and technology.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Alexander worked with leading private equity and venture capital institutions, and managed sales and operations for a leading global consumer company.
