Valentina has more than 7 years of experience at the firm and is a core member of the Oil & Gas Practice in the Americas. During her career at McKinsey, she has mainly served clients within the energy sector, as well as the public sector. She specializes in strategy, organization, and transformation across the value chain of the oil and gas sector, as well as global energy and basic materials.

Valentina has worked on projects such as developing the commercial strategy to turn around the financial performance of a drilling and oil-field-services and equipment company in Latin America. She has also designed the medium-term services strategy of an integrated company within the energy sector in the Americas and has led a capital-markets diagnostic for a leading company in Latin America within the basic-materials sector to plan its medium-term strategy.

Valentina is deeply committed to developing women leaders in Mexico, helping to foster local connections and deliver programs to help women connect, learn, and grow.

Prior to McKinsey, Valentia was an attorney in Mexico City. She spent 5 years at a boutique legal-consulting firm, working in competition and antitrust as well as international trade projects, as a senior associate.
