Carlos is a Partner in the McKinsey & Company office in Quito, and co-leader of the Operations Practice in Latin America. He has deep experience in the Latin American banking sector as well as operations expertise across diverse industries ranging from consumer goods and retail to automotive.
Carlos has participated in corporate transformations in a variety of sectors and countries, including Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Panama, Guatemala and El Salvador. Examples of his recent client work include the following:
- Leadership of the end-to-end transformation of a department store in Central America.
- Transformation "from good to excellent" of a Central American bank, with the objective of capturing improvements in terms of income and costs.
- Transformation leadership in the strategic sourcing area of a consumer goods company, capturing net savings in the order of 12 percent.
- Assistance to a bank for the definition of an outsourcing strategy for IT infrastructure and application development.
