Carlos coleads our Operations Practice in North Latin America. He has deep experience in the Latin American banking sector as well as operations expertise across diverse industries ranging from consumer goods and retail to automotive.

Carlos has supported broad corporate transformations in a range of sectors and across multiple countries, including Argentina, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, and Peru.

Examples of his recent client work include the following:

  • redesigning the future strategy and organization for a top grocery retailer in the Caribbean by identifying opportunities to double the company size in five years.
  • creating an acceleration plan for a B2C digital platform that included portfolio strategy, supply chain, growth, and internationalization
  • leading the market assessment for the Colombian and Mexican food service and consumer-packaged-goods distribution from a B2B perspective as part of the preinvestment diligence of a digital start-up
  • assessing the market attractiveness of the Colombian “ready-to-drink” beverage category, which included the analysis of the food service and on and off premise channels
  • delivering a program to increase profitability at a hard discounter via vendor management, pricing, and supply chain optimization
  • diagnosing the current strategy for a home and personal-care company in Latin America, which included the past performance per key distribution channel including B2B customers such as restaurants and other food service companies
  • delivering a performance transformation for a Central American department store with commercial and operational levers
  • delivering a procurement transformation for a top Colombian food company covering direct and indirect categories
