Advises asset managers, large insurers, and other institutional investors on strategic, operational, and risk challenges

Robin is a partner in McKinsey’s Zurich office. He works with financial institutions in Europe and the Middle East, focusing particularly on asset managers, large insurers, and other institutional investors.

Among his recent projects, Robin helped a large European bank conduct a comprehensive diagnosis of its investment management operations, with an emphasis on improving collaboration between asset management and private banking. In another project, he advised a Middle Eastern private equity company on the development of its risk management strategy. For a large global asset management company that was undertaking a strategic re-positioning, Robin conducted a comprehensive assessment of the evolving industry landscape and helped identify a range of M&A and other options.

Robin is a member of our European Insurance and Asset Management and Risk Practices. He has also worked as a fellow at the McKinsey Global Institute in the United States, where he co-authored a report on changing patterns of income distribution among US households.

Robin holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of St. Gallen and a CEMS master’s degree in international management from the University of St. Gallen and the London School of Economics.
