Kayla is a partner in McKinsey’s London office, where she primarily focuses on transforming portfolio companies of venture capital and private equity funds, with an emphasis on consumer tech, marketplaces, and media. She works extensively with her clients to help them assess market opportunities, gather consumer insights, develop go-to-market strategies, and prepare for fundraising, IPOs, and exits.

Kayla has deep experience in guiding clients through complex strategic decisions. Recent examples of her work include:

  • supported value creation planning and IPO preparation across four consumer and consumer tech businesses
  • supported a software-based consumer tech company in creating a hardware function, launching three new products to market, and building out a supply chain and operations department from scratch
  • supported multiple consumer tech companies in debt raises, focused on creating equity stories for potential investors
  • scaled a fast-growing sports organization through both growth transformation (e.g., sponsorship and other revenue-driving levers) and rightsizing the organization through costs and operating model changes (e.g., full end-to-end cost-out supported by operating structure changes to support ongoing savings delivery)
  • drove revenue growth management, including digital marketing transformation, pricing, and bundling for large UK media player
  • led operational planning and transformation for large consumer packaged goods umbrella company to bring down procurement costs through centralization of category spends in a highly complex category
