Greg is the global coleader of McKinsey’s work with basic materials and the founder of our Calgary location, which opened in 2006. As a leader of our oil and gas and metals and mining work, he focuses on large capital project development and portfolio strategies for energy and materials companies around the globe.

In addition to his strategy work, Greg has experience in driving capital allocation decisions across large and diverse project portfolios to support strategy, working with owners’ teams to improve capital project and operational performance. He has also done extensive work in early-stage exploration and collaborated with management teams to define their exploration strategy and processes.

Greg is the chair of the finance committee of the EPCOR Centre for the Performing Arts and a member of the strategy committee for the Global Business Forum in Banff.
