About David

David helps lead McKinsey’s RTS Practice. His particular focus is on corporate turnarounds and portfolio restructuring. Throughout his career, David has led numerous due-diligence and restructuring efforts, along with guiding complex transformations spanning multiple countries.

Most recently, he led the complete transformation of a multinational consumer-goods company. David’s recent turnaround work includes helping a leading telecommunications operator in a mature market transform its execution performance, which translated into cash-flow, market-share, and organizational-health improvements. He also supported an integrated bank and a global mining company in transforming commercial and operational performance.

Based in New Zealand and Australia since 2003, David serves clients in Australasia, Europe, the United States, and northern Africa. Prior to joining McKinsey, he worked as an equity analyst for a private banking group in Geneva.

David is actively engaged in charitable organizations focused on improving primary-education outcomes and diversity in the workplace. He is also linguistically diverse; a native French speaker, he is fluent in English, German, and Swiss, and can converse in Samoan.
