As a Partner at McKinsey & Company’s Santiago office, Cristián is the leader of the Risk & Resilience Practice in Latin America, the Financial Services Practice in South Latin America and a member of the Digital Practice in the region. He focuses on helping financial institutions and clients in other industries, achieve substantial performance improvement and conducting successful holistic transformations. He holds an MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and a master’s degree in operations research, along with a civil engineering degree from Universidad de Chile.

Some of his recent client work includes the following:

  • Leading the transformation of the operating model between risk, business, and support areas to enhance agility and resilience in banks across Latin America.
  • Supporting end-to-end risk area transformations, including financial, non-financial, and capital risks, with improvements in efficiency and effectiveness for multiple entities in the region.
  • Assisting in the development of strategies and the implementation of holistic transformations in various entities in the region.
  • Defining ESG strategies for Financial Groups in Latin America.
  • Building digital factories in multiple entities, encompassing end-to-end digitalization, development of Advanced Analytics, creation of data infrastructure and governance, demand management, channel and platform development, and more.
  • Developing strategies and digital strategies for banks and insurers across multiple entities in the region.
