Resources & Insights

McKinsey Recruiting

  • McKinsey Careers. Check out our Careers page for information about our interview process, tips to prepare, and practice business cases. Our Careers Blog provides candid insight into life at McKinsey straight from our consultants.
  • McKinsey Early Access 2020. This page for McKinsey Early Access applicants will include recordings from this summer’s virtual series and other resources that will be helpful over the coming months as students learn more about McKinsey.
  • A message from McKinsey's global managing partner, Kevin Sneader, and Lareina Yee, senior partner and leader of our Diversity & Inclusion efforts, gives you insight into how McKinsey is preparing candidates and new joiners for success during these unusual times. You can watch it on LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram.
  • McKinsey Problem Solving Game. We created the McKinsey Problem Solving Game, set in an abstracted, natural environment, to help candidates demonstrate problem-solving skills in a more interesting way than a traditional question-and-answer format. No prior business or gaming knowledge is needed.
  • The 2020 graduate’s guide to a new world of work. A multimedia anthology to help students hit the ground running in a new job or internship, curated from our extensive collection of insights.

Diversity & Inclusion

  • We have a deep and longstanding commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in business, in society, and within our firm.
  • Diversity wins: How inclusion matters. This is the third report in our series investigating the business case for diversity, following Why diversity matters (2015) and Delivering through diversity (2018). Our latest analysis reaffirms the strong business case for both gender diversity and ethnic and cultural diversity in corporate leadership—and shows that this business case continues to strengthen.
  • Diversity still matters. We've also published a related article in the context of the COVID-19 crisis. The lessons from previous crises tell us there is a very real risk that diversity and inclusion (D&I) may now recede as a strategic priority for organizations, and that companies pulling back on D&I now may be placing themselves at a disadvantage.
  • Women in the Workplace 2019. In the last five years, we've seen more women rise to the top levels of companies. An increasing number of companies are seeing the value of having more women in leadership, and they're proving that they can make progress on gender diversity. Still, women continue to be underrepresented at every level. To change the numbers, companies need to focus where the real problem is.
  • How dual-career couples find fulfillment at work. When both partners have demanding jobs, it's challenging to strike the right work–life balance. Can companies help dual-career couples juggle it all?

McKinsey Insights

  • COVID Response Center. This site includes industry, regional, and global perspectives on this crisis. There are interviews, webinars, tools, databases, case studies, and helpful guides from McKinsey and other efforts underway to help public and private sector leaders tackle this crisis.
  • Climate risk and response: Physical hazards and socioeconomic impacts. Physical climate risk is both more present and more pervasive than commonly thought, and in our globalized, trade-based, financialized economy, even players not exposed to direct impacts may bear significant risk, for example through their investment portfolios, supply chains, or core markets.
