Many advanced professional degree (APD) candidates join us as associate or junior associate consultants, with the specific position being determined based on the office and level of experience. APD candidates may also consider applying for an associate or business analyst internship position depending on their degree or work experience. Typically, these internships are available during the summer prior to the penultimate year of your program. Timing of internships can vary based on your academic schedule.

We have a range of roles to consider based on your diverse skills and interests. Generalist consulting, covering a wide variety of projects; practice consulting, focused on a specific function or industry; and technical roles within McKinsey’s product and solution development teams (e.g. data science, data engineering, software engineering, and digital strategy & delivery).
