Survey: UK consumer sentiment during the coronavirus crisis

Optimism about the economic recovery in the United Kingdom has reached its highest recorded level during the COVID-19 crisis, having almost doubled since November.

In the United Kingdom, consumers are optimistic about a quick economic recovery in keeping with the vaccine rollout. Younger and high-income consumers in particular are expected to drive spending, especially in travel, dining and personal care. Digital purchasing behaviors and online alternatives to entertainment are likely to sustain post COVID-19.
