About Tomás

Tomás leads our McKinsey Implementation Practice in Western Europe and is a member of the Operations, Telecommunications, Media, and High Tech Practices. He has 25 years of experience advising leading institutions on their transformations in Spain and Portugal.

With deep expertise in operations, Tomás has helped clients to implement new operating models, applying lean methodologies to achieve significant improvements in cost and customer experience. He also has experience in overall efficiency-improvement programs across complex organizations, as well as leading large and high-impact transformations in functions such as commercial branches, procurement, technology, IT, and back-office operations.

In the areas of organization and strategy, Tomás has helped define overall strategy and corporate-transformation programs and identified their organization implications. His expertise also includes defining global organizations for multinational corporations in operations-related functions and supporting integration processes for companies in Europe and Latin America.

Recently, Tomás supported several institutions in understanding the implications of digital and analytics in their operations and defining agile models to accelerate the transformation.

Tomás has extensively collaborated in pro bono work for several foundations in Spain and is a member of the board of SERES, which fosters social corporate responsibility activity. He is also passionate about education as a key enabler for progress and has participated in several efforts with the McKinsey’s education work.
