Sanjiv serves health systems and healthcare services entities on strategy and holistic revenue excellence, especially when enabled through advanced technologies. He leads McKinsey’s efforts in managed care, revenue cycle technology, and health system growth, along with several of our knowledge efforts and risk and compliance functions in our service for healthcare providers. In addition, Sanjiv serves a variety of public sector entities on related topics, especially around health system optimization, public health, and health technology enablement.
Examples of his recent client work include the following:
- leading an enterprise-performance transformation for a large academic medical center, including improving managed care, revenue cycle, and strategic growth moving to lower-cost sites of care while improving access for patients
- establishing a digitally-enabled infectious diseases planning and preparation capability coordinating across over 180 countries, including creating a marketplace to order supplies, a forum for donors, and a self-assessment capability for preparedness
- devising the generative AI strategy for a leading health services company, resulting in defining value at stake, prioritizing and sequencing solution deployment, and creating a roadmap for product development
Since joining McKinsey in 2016, Sanjiv has served clients in Asia, Europe, South America, North America, and Oceania. Outside McKinsey, Sanjiv is an infectious diseases and aerospace medicine physician, and he continues to see patients in clinic and as part of the United States Air Force Reserve. Sanjiv enjoys running, traveling, learning, and spending time with his wife and kids.
