Helps organizations capture transformative value from AI by integrating technology, operating model redesign, talent strategy, and change management

About Monica

Monica is a partner in McKinsey’s São Paulo office, where she leads large-scale AI and digital transformations. She advises leading organizations across a broad range of industries—including metals and mining, consumer packaged goods, telecommunications, and infrastructure—on leveraging AI to drive enterprise-wide transformation and measurable business impact.

With over 20 years of experience, Monica has spent the last six years at McKinsey. Prior to joining the firm, she spent 14 years at SAS, where she rose to become the Latin America leader for Services, Education, & Solutions. Earlier in her career, she led IBM Brazil’s Advanced Analytics Services practice for four years and held leadership roles at SAS, Globopar, and Lloyds Bank.

Monica’s distinctive strength lies in bridging technology and business. She approaches transformation holistically, recognizing that successful AI and digital initiatives require much more than technology and data capabilities. Her work focuses on integrating critical enablers such as operating model redesign, talent strategy, capability building, and change management to ensure sustainable and scalable impact.

She holds a Master of Science in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Southern California and undergraduate degrees in materials engineering and production engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).
