Matt is a partner in McKinsey’s Denver office and a leader in our supply chain and geopolitics work. He advises clients across public and private sectors—including federal and state government agencies, industrial manufacturers, and energy and pharmaceutical companies—on how to build resilience, manage risk, and improve project delivery in an increasingly complex global landscape. He brings deep experience in supply chain strategy, industrial base management, and large-scale operational and capital transformations.
Since joining the firm, Matt has helped clients address a range of challenges. His recent work includes the following:
- mitigating the impact of geopolitical shifts for a global industrials tool manufacturer through supply chain, procurement, and commercial levers
- transforming supply chain and industrial base management for a federal defense acquisition program by deploying advanced analytics, demand forecasting, and new procurement strategies
- leading a project delivery transformation for a large-scale oil and gas capital project, resulting in significant cost avoidance and schedule improvements
- establishing an industry-leading capital excellence program for a global chemical-agriculture client, covering portfolio optimization, project governance, and efficiency improvements
Prior to joining McKinsey, Matt spent eight years in the U.S. Navy, where he was responsible for the operation, maintenance, and overhaul of a nuclear-powered submarine and served as an operations and intelligence staff officer.
