Over the past decade, Dinu has advanced McKinsey’s digitally enabled production system for process industries. Leading the Swiss Operations Hub, Innovation & Learning Centers, and overseeing the Global Lighthouse Network’s activities in EMEA, he is at the forefront of driving impactful change.

  • guiding the development and global deployment of a digitally enabled production system with a large consumer goods company
  • helping establish a procurement center of excellence, crafting a capability-building roadmap, and leading procurement value capture efforts for a large basic materials company
  • conducting a digital full potential assessment, designing the target state, and building capabilities for deployment with a consumer goods manufacturing lighthouse site
  • executing an advanced analytics transformation of large petrochemical site, improving profit per hour from higher yield, energy efficiency and throughput
  • leading product complexity reduction, designing a new operating model, rationalizing footprint, and enhancing plant-by-plant performance improvement in collaboration with a specialty chemicals company
  • guiding the implementation of a supplier capability-building program for a large semiconductor player to accelerate capacity ramp-up while enhancing service levels
  • assisting in the optimization of metal costs and driving decarbonization initiatives with an aluminum company
