About David

David is a senior partner in McKinsey’s Northeast office where he leads our healthcare work. He also recently took on leadership of our North American Life Sciences Practice. He previously led the global Life Sciences Commercial Practice.

Over the last 15 years with McKinsey, David has served a broad range of healthcare clients. His client service areas cover commercial performance, corporate strategy including mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, and organization.

In his work on commercial performance, David has served clients extensively on product launch efforts and has worked on a number of launches regarded in the industry as best-in-class. He has also supported clients recovering from launches that did not quite meet expectations. His experience covers primary care, a number of specialties, and rare diseases.

He holds an MBA from INSEAD, France, cum laude, a MSc from the Queen’s University of Belfast, Northern Ireland, and a BA with honors, from University College Dublin, Ireland.
