Taro is a leader in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Practice in Japan. He works extensively with consumer-electronic, telecommunication, and internet companies as they undergo strategy and operational transformations, develop and execute growth plans, and incubate new digital businesses.
Taro also serves venture-capital and private-equity funds and has led several of the largest tech deals in the region. He works on a range of projects, from transactions to merger management and performance management of portfolio companies.
From 2018 to 2019, Taro worked for one of the world’s largest technology-investment firms as the advisor to the management team, and he led the launch of the fund’s portfolio group to accelerate the value creation of its unicorn investments in the United States, China, and India.
