Vassilis is a partner based in the Athens office. He advises clients across Europe (including Greece, Cyprus, the UK, Ireland, and Central Europe) and the Middle East (including Egypt and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries) on their most critical challenges, primarily around the topics of strategy, transformation, digital, and risk. He serves clients in a range of industries (including banking, insurance, the public sector, and industrial sectors), with deep expertise in financial institutions and credit risk management.

Vassilis is passionate about working side by side with senior leadership teams to cocreate practical solutions that deliver lasting results.

Examples of his recent client work include:

  • leading a three-year strategic review for a northern European bank, helping the executive committee shape and deliver its Capital Markets Day presentation
  • overseeing a multiyear, large-scale transformation program for a southern European institution, delivering substantial revenue uplift across all business units and recurring operating expenditure savings
  • driving the digital transformation of a bank, setting up digital squads, and launching multiple end-to-end digital offerings
  • reshaping the operating model of a public sector institution to improve its effectiveness and accelerate the execution of flagship projects
  • leading due diligence for a northern European bank’s acquisition of a fintech player
  • redefining the retail value proposition and distribution model of a European bank
  • defining the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) ambition of a southern European institution, setting decarbonization targets, and communicating them to the market
