Digital Capability Center Gurugram, which opened in 2013, offers integrated, experiential capability building in all major functional areas as well as leadership development. With a focus on operations, the facility concentrates on product development, procurement, lean manufacturing, supply-chain management, service operations, pricing, sales, and corporate finance. Participants work on real-life cases that present the same challenges that professionals face during long-term transformations at their companies.

Manufacturing lab: It doesn’t get more real

The facility includes a manufacturing lab that simulates a real shop floor with a five-station assembly line. Participants gain experience with a variety of lean tools and techniques to eliminate waste, increase efficiency, and enhance reliability. The facility also contains a control center to deal with performance-management issues, such as shift changes, performance dialogues, and coaching. Other modules use similar real-life simulations, such as a model warehouse and an innovation lab, providing a unique learning environment. Training programs can be customized for companies in continuous-process industries, such as chemicals, and batch/discrete-process industries, such as pharmaceuticals and automotive.
