Richard is a leader in McKinsey’s Private Equity & Principal Investors and Metals & Mining Practices. He advises institutional investors and private equity firms across the investment cycle, including asset allocation, investment strategy, due diligence, and portfolio optimization. He also serves metals and mining companies on strategy development, portfolio optimization, and mergers and acquisitions. Richard has helped numerous resource companies improve their capital allocation, optimize their capital projects, identify capital savings, and reduce ongoing spend.

Before joining McKinsey, Richard was an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions.
