Meet our colleagues in operations

Lidia Rasulo

Associate, Implementation, Stuttgart

“In 2014, following the advice of a friend, I attended a McKinsey event, without knowing exactly what McKinsey was. It was amazing to meet such inspirational people and to get to know the firm through peoples’ experiences and stories.
At that time I didn’t apply – as an automotive engineer, my dream was to work for a (sports) car maker, and so I did, for five years. However, the memory of that event was so powerful and my curiosity so strong, thanks to the variety of projects and industries and the opportunity to bring real impact, that I decided to apply and joined McKinsey in 2019.”

Sophie Day

Associate, Capital Projects & Infrastructure, London

“I had applied to an event not expecting to gain a place and it was so exciting to receive an invitation! The event was really special to me because I met many consultants from McKinsey and got the chance to understand how you can combine technical expertise (structural engineering in my case) within the firm, through joining the Operations Practice.
Following on from the event, I joined the firm six months later, and I have already had the opportunity to work on an operations study in Canada (pictured here visiting Niagara falls during one of the weekends).”

WomEngineering is intended for individuals who self-identify as women and are based in Europe. It is just one of our many programs to help individuals get to know McKinsey better.
