Matias is a partner in McKinsey’s Connecticut office and coleads the firm’s global power generation work within the Electric Power & Natural Gas Practice. He advises leading utilities, independent power producers, renewable developers, infrastructure investors, and industrial companies on enterprise transformation, growth, and value creation.
He specializes in designing and leading enterprise-wide transformation programs that improve performance while building the organizational capabilities required to sustain results. His work spans conventional generation, renewables, regulated utilities, and energy infrastructure by integrating strategy, operations, organization, procurement, digital, data, and AI to accelerate impact.
Over the past decade, Matias has partnered with executive teams across North America to design and deliver large-scale transformation programs, helping clients capture value from acquisitions, optimize generation portfolios, strengthen capital delivery, redesign organizational operations, and improve asset performance. He has also supported transformation efforts across South America and Asia. Across his engagements, he focuses on helping organizations embed new ways of working and building capabilities that sustain impact well beyond the duration of the transformation.

- advising the executive team of a leading North American power company, shaping its growth strategy and corporate development agenda across multiple acquisitions; leading end-to-end support from commercial diligence through integration for three acquisitions, including a landmark transaction worth billions of dollars, overseeing the integration management office, operating model, organization design, technology blueprint, culture, and value-capture implementation
- directing a multiyear enterprise transformation program for an integrated energy company spanning conventional generation, renewables, regulated utilities, and corporate functions by identifying and implementing initiatives that materially improved operational and financial performance
