Advises senior executives on risk, compliance, analytics, strategy, and business transformation, with deep expertise in financial-crime compliance and anti–money laundering

Adrian brings almost 20 years of consulting experience to his role of advising senior executives on risk, compliance, analytics, strategy, and business transformation. He has worked extensively with financial-services institutions and others in Brazil, Europe, North America, South Africa, South Korea, and Turkey. His current area of focus is helping banks develop next-generation solutions and large-scale-remediation programs to tackle financial crime and money laundering.

Adrian is skilled in helping institutions develop solutions in response to regulatory demands, changing market conditions, and their own evolving needs. He has a distinguished record of overseeing strategy work, providing high-quality technical input, and preparing teams to deliver large-scale-transformation programs. His experience gives him insight into navigating organizations, understanding client priorities and needs, and delivering high-impact work, even in the most challenging environments.

In risk and compliance, Adrian has helped companies across the full spectrum of financial and nonfinancial risks, including regulatory response and technology-driven solutions. In business and operations, he has worked on the reengineering of account-opening, know-your-customer, and client-servicing processes; credit underwriting and collections; cost reduction; and turnarounds of underperforming businesses. And in analytics and strategy, his projects have included supporting consumer-credit providers with overhauling analytics to drive outperformance, deploying advanced analytics to drive value in deposit businesses, and modeling banking returns and economic drivers to inform infrastructure development in the financial-services market.

Before joining McKinsey, Adrian was a partner at a global management-consulting firm, where he most recently led work on financial-crime-regulation compliance and anti–money laundering in the Americas. In addition to serving as a senior advisor to leading banks, he has played an active part in thought leadership in the financial-services sector by hosting expert roundtables, directing surveys on financial and nonfinancial risks, and publishing a series of papers on risk, compliance, and capital management.
