Prakhar is a partner in McKinsey’s Seattle office with more than ten years of experience advising chief technology and product officers on growth and productivity through technology transformations. He has a background in product management and software engineering, helping technology companies grow efficiently through AI, improve ways of working, and establish product-centric operating models. Prakhar specializes in digital transformations for clients across a range of industries, with a focus on reimagining product development and engineering excellence.
Some of Prakhar’s recent work includes the following:
- leading the reimagination of a B2B and B2C software provider to become AI-native, improving development speed by approximately 60 percent
- designing and deploying a fully AI-native product-development process for a leading airline, resulting in 60 percent faster time to market
- leading the diagnostic and implementation for software-development productivity levers, including AI, for a global bank
- implementing new ways of working and a software-oriented operating model for a leading technology company
Prakhar also leads the firm’s video-gaming work in North America and has worked with clients on a range of topics in the space, including diligences on gaming studios, growth strategy, and AI in game development.
Before joining McKinsey, Prakhar worked in multiple technology and product-related roles, including at Meta, for Firefox at Mozilla, at British Telecom, and at JPMorgan & Chase. He holds an MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
