Shivanshu is a senior partner in McKinsey’s Bangalore office, which he helped found. He has worked in McKinsey’s Delhi and Boston offices, serving clients across North America, Europe, India, and China.
Shivanshu leads the Advanced Industries Practice in India and is a leader in McKinsey’s global Operations and Advanced Industries Practices. He has helped shape McKinsey’s thinking on product development in emerging markets, and has helped clients globally to develop the right products at the right cost for emerging markets. He serves clients on operational transformations, as well as strategy, business building, and organizational issues.
He serves India’s-family owned businesses as well as multinationals in the Advanced Industries sector, and is focused on automotive, industrials and consumer electronics. He has collaborated with industry bodies like the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on topics including product development and innovation.
Shivanshu was a founding member of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in India, where he helped define the strategy, set up the organization in India, and kick-start the HIV prevention program, “Avahan.”
