Pietro is a partner in our Stamford office, a member of the McKinsey Sustainability Practice, and a leader of our transformation work in North America. He focuses on large-scale change programs designed to improve not only a company’s economic performance but also its environmental footprint.
Pietro has supported clients from mining and agriculture companies to private-equity investors in developing and launching sustainability transformations. Within McKinsey, he has led the development of key assets to support these transformations, including baselining tools, a library of decarbonization levers, and tracking mechanisms.
Pietro’s other main area of focus is large-scale, multiyear transformations to accelerate growth, increase operational efficiency, strengthen organizational health, and build workforce capabilities. His clients in this area have included automotive, telecommunications, consumer goods, mining, and oil and gas companies. He has also advised a number of insurance companies on transformations to increase sales effectiveness, identify operational efficiencies, improve the customer experience, and boost earnings.
Before joining McKinsey, Pietro was a consultant with Oliver Wyman, where he worked on risk management in the financial-services sector. He holds an MBA from Columbia University in New York and a master’s in economics and statistics from Bocconi University in Milan.
