Paul leads McKinsey’s Energy Insights in London, where he serves energy companies and investors in issues ranging from operational transformation to energy efficiency. He has more than 15 years of experience in the global energy sector, blending oilfield roles with strategic and operational advisory, as well as a passion for analytics and data solutions.
Examples of Paul’s recent client work include the following:
- supporting a regional drilling company with a growth strategy and establishing a joint venture to secure the capability to deliver an ambitious 20-year domestic target and international expansion
- implementing an international oil and gas company’s transformation program, leading a cost and organisation review of its regional upstream oil and gas business in support of a corporate-efficiency program
- supporting a global energy company by designing and delivering an analytics capability to optimise operating and asset costs
- leading an operations and performance review of a private-equity client’s oil and gas portfolio as part of a board-level strategic review
Before joining McKinsey, Paul worked for a large oil-field-services company, with roles in Africa, Australia, Europe, and the Middle East.
