Himanshu is a partner based out of our New York office. He primarily serves financial institutions and professional-services organizations on growth strategy, risk, transformation, and analytics. He has worked extensively across North and South America as well as Asia.

Himanshu has recently worked with clients to help define and execute growth strategies, assess and improve their risk management practices, and set up and undertake fundamental transformations of business models. On growth strategies, he has worked with financial institutions across asset classes—including small to medium-sized enterprises (SME) lending, retail credit, auto lending, mortgages, commercial lending, and asset management— on a variety of topics such as digital strategies, new product introductions, M&A, and inorganic growth.

On risk management, his work has spanned credit risk, climate and sustainability, capital management, stress testing, non-financial risk management, and advanced analytics. On business model transformations, he has advised clients on developing customer-segmentation strategies, creating distinctive value propositions, organizational and operational redesign and excellence, and affecting cultural change. He has worked with leading global professional services firms on a variety of topics such as innovation, client experience, risk management, organizational restructuring, and employee engagement.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Himanshu practiced as an M&A lawyer for approximately five years advising leading global financial institutions.
