Gaurav is a Partner in McKinsey’s Private Equity & Principal Investors and Technology Practices, based in New Jersey. He also helps shape the firm’s global perspective on generative AI and agentic AI for investors and technology leaders.

Gaurav is a senior technology and investment advisor with nearly two decades of experience advising leading private equity firms, institutional investors, and technology companies. His work focuses on helping clients translate technology disruption, particularly generative AI and emerging agentic AI architectures, into tangible enterprise value and sustained competitive advantage.

He works at the intersection of strategy, technology, and investment, supporting leadership teams across the full transaction and ownership lifecycle. Over his career, Gaurav has contributed to more than 300 transaction cycles across software, IT services, digital infrastructure, and AI-native companies.

In recent years, his work has centered on embedding generative AI and multi-agent systems into diligence, portfolio acceleration, and enterprise transformation programs. His experience includes:

  • designing and implementing AI-enabled value-creation roadmaps for private equity portfolios
  • developing enterprise AI operating models, governance frameworks, and organizational blueprints
  • architecting multi-agent systems to streamline diligence workflows and accelerate decision cycles
  • standing up gen AI platforms, copilots, and knowledge-automation engines across portfolio companies
  • shaping investment theses for AI-native businesses and foundational AI ecosystem players
  • driving commercial, operational, and engineering productivity improvements that translate into measurable EBITDA impact

Gaurav regularly advises boards, investment committees, and executive teams on how to move from AI experimentation to enterprise-scale deployment, integrating strategic conviction, technology architecture, and measurable ROI.

Beyond client work, he contributes to McKinsey’s thought leadership on technology services, capability-led investing, and the evolving role of AI in value creation for investors.
