About Bruce

Bruce serves leading corporations, local conglomerates, state-owned enterprises, and multinationals on issues related to operational improvement, large-scale transformations, strategic planning and growth, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational design. He works across industries such as oil and gas, automotive, telecommunications, and financial services but is especially interested in financial services and banking in a changing industry landscape.

In recent years, Bruce has worked primarily on innovation and on digital—in particular, its design and implementation. His client service in this space ranges from developing thought leadership in acquiring digital assets to helping clients build ideation and digital-implementation capabilities to reinvent business and operating models.

Recent examples of Bruce’s client work include the following:

  • assisting a major Asia-based conglomerate’s 12-month innovation program—including design thinking, new-customer journeys, and the implementation of prototypes and innovation platforms—across its different businesses
  • supporting the postmerger integration of a major Asian technology, media, and telecommunications organization
  • helping a major Indonesian bank in an 18-month transformation effort—for example, by designing corporate and business-unit strategies and supporting implementation in consumer banking, corporate banking, and key support functions
  • developing a new customer segmentation for a leading Indonesian bank and redefining its service models to improve competitive advantage
  • helping a Southeast Asian telecommunications company assess its portfolio of digital initiatives and reshape its digital organization
  • supporting the implementation of key profitability and marketing-improvement initiatives for a major credit-card issuer in Indonesia
  • developing a digital-transformation strategy for a payments company in Indonesia
  • helping a Vietnamese banking institution develop its digital-ecosystem strategies

Bruce speaks English, French, and Indonesian fluently. He has lived in Southeast Asia for more than two decades, spending 12 years living in Indonesia before relocating to Hanoi. Passionate about the region’s future, he led the Young Leaders for Indonesia (YLI) organization, which is committed to developing the country’s next generations of leaders.
