About Bruce

Bruce serves leading corporations, local conglomerates, state-owned enterprises, and multinationals on issues related to operational improvement, large-scale transformations, strategic planning and growth, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational design. While Bruce works across industries, including oil and gas, automotive, telecommunications, and financial services, he is especially interested in financial services and banking amidst a changing industry landscape.

In recent years, Bruce has worked primarily on innovation and digital—in particular, its design and implementation aspects. His client service in this space ranges from developing thought leadership around digital asset acquisition to helping clients build ideation and digital implementation capabilities in order to reinvent their business and operating models.

Recent examples of Bruce's client work include the following:

  • assisting a major Asia-based conglomerate with a 12-month innovation program across its different businesses, including design thinking, new customer journeys, and the implementation of prototypes and innovation platforms
  • supporting the postmerger integration of a major Asian technology, media, and telecommunications organization
  • helping a major Indonesian bank with an 18-month transformation effort, including designing the corporate and business-unit strategies and supporting implementation in consumer banking, corporate banking, and key support functions
  • developing a new customer segmentation for a leading Indonesian bank and redefining its service models to improve competitive advantage
  • helping a telecommunications company in Southeast Asia assess its portfolio of digital initiatives and reshape its digital organization
  • supporting the implementation of key profitability and marketing-improvement initiatives for a major credit-card issuer in Indonesia
  • developing a digital transformation strategy for a payment company in Indonesia

Bruce speaks English, French, and Indonesian fluently. He has lived in Southeast Asia for more than 20 years and has spent the last 12 years living in Indonesia. Passionate about the future of the region, he leads the Young Leaders for Indonesia (YLI) organization, a foundation committed to developing the next generations of leaders in the country.
