Bill is a partner in McKinsey’s Houston office, where he co-leads the Oil & Gas Practice’s oil field services and equipment (OFSE) work and leads the North America Petroleum Asset eXcellence (PAX) group of industry experts serving clients across the energy value chain.

Bill’s recent client work includes the following:

  • supporting an OFSE leader to build and scale a digital business solution by developing a go-to-market plan and operating model to enhance win rate and product scale rate
  • serving oil field companies on strategies to grow in core, adjacent, and step-out opportunities
  • conducting full potential assessments for OFSE and energy companies to drive bottom-line profitability and rewire ways of working to enhance organizational efficiency
  • developing strategies to deploy AI at a pace that drives bottom-line performance while managing technology risks

Before joining McKinsey, Bill was an industry executive with Transocean, an offshore driller. His experience included leading a $3 billion division, overseeing technical services, and holding various other roles in strategy, internal boards, engineering, project management, and asset management. He also served as president of the North and South America business unit for Mammoet, a heavy lift and transport company.
