His expertise spans oil and gas, chemicals, and private capital, with a keen focus on the intersection of AI enablement and technical operations.

- leading a billion-dollar performance turnaround for an integrated oil and gas major
- delivering over $1 billion in EBITDA improvement through a strategic and performance transformation for a global chemicals player
- building AI-led use cases and rewiring enterprise workflows for a leading global oil and gas player
- leading M&A strategy and integration planning for a multibillion-dollar merger for a major North American independent oil and gas operator

Outside of McKinsey, Ashwin is committed to community service and is actively involved in initiatives that support energy equity. Before joining McKinsey, he gained deep operational experience at Transocean and Shelf Drilling, where he worked in engineering, asset management, technology, and supply chain management roles. Ashwin holds a degree in ocean engineering and naval architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
