Al joined McKinsey in 2014 and is a partner in its transformation work in London. He has led teams to develop turnaround plans in both the private and public sector that yielded significant savings in terms of both cost and efficiency.

Al brings over 20 years of experience in board, operational, restructuring, and advisory roles. He has operational experience principally in oil and gas, metals and mining, healthcare, and high-tech sectors. He has held several officer and board positions across Europe in both restructuring and steady-state scenarios. Al has successfully completed restructuring processes in regulated and unionized industries across Europe.

In his earlier career, Al spent fourteen years in business recovery services. His restructuring experience prior to joining McKinsey also includes serving as interim CFO of various underperforming organizations as well as distressed M&A director roles.

He is a qualified chartered accountant, and a certified insolvency and restructuring advisor for underperforming businesses.
