Esmee is focused on driving top line and productivity improvements through agile operating models.
She brings extensive experience in enterprise agility and large-scale transformations across sectors and regions. The current focus of Esmee’s work is to help companies in capital intensive industries design and implement agile organizations to enhance performance. This includes the ability to prioritize activity with an ongoing alignment of talent and capital, to value, reduction of complexity in organizational structures and processes, and ensuring the workforce has the right capabilities and mindsets to drive performance sustainably.
She gets energized by working with her clients to fundamentally change their way of working in a more mission-driven, cross functional manner, bringing flexibility into their operating models.
Examples of recent work include the following:
- supporting an oil and gas organization on its design and implementation of a new global operating model across all aspects of upstream—major projects, wells, subsurface, and production—to increase operational agility, reduce its cost base, simplify its way of working, and prioritize its portfolio to succeed through an energy transition
- helping an oil and gas company redesign its well-planning process and operating model to identify opportunities for agility digital, and simplification
- defining the top team vision, value assessment, and high-level blueprint for an agile group HR at a global tech company
- supporting multiple clients across the globe on agile transformations touching strategy, structure, processes, people, and technology elements of the operating model
Esmee joined McKinsey in 2016 in the firm’s Amsterdam office. Prior to this, she worked in a social enterprise focused on quantifying and reducing environmental and social impact in commodity-value chains.
